Audio issue?

Hello folks, so I've been trying to record videos with OBS. I've noticed that the audio is a bit quiet. When I try to increase the gain and the audio I get a lot of the background whooshing sound. Which is annoying. But When I play the audio, its not in the background unless I increase the volume. How do I fix this issue? :/ :(
