I need a 3d Printer

Hello I need a 3d printer for Christmas Here are some of my requirements:

1. affordable (my ABSOLUTE MAX BUDGET is $425 USD)

2. it must be able to ship to the US

3. prebuilt. I dont want to have to deal with the hassle of building it and putting it together

4. user friendly I want minimal problems it just works

5, my minimum print space is around 6 x 6 x 6 inches nothing smaller

that will be all

What do you need this for? Check out the printrbot play, that's the best sub $600 printer you can get.

Those are the xyz ones, right? Pretty sure those are craptastic like most sub $600 printers.

That's about the only one I've used personally and can attest to.

Horrible interface, adhesion issues, and bad print quality, right? I've only used ultimaker originals, such a hard life

I haven't had any issues aside from forgetting to put tape down before printing as per Barnacules. I'm a CAD user and importing projects isn't too difficult with Cura as the intermediary.

 

Edit: Then again, I don't think many people who start out 3D printing would start modelling off the bat.

I had a couple years messing around in low end autodesk softwares before I got my printer, glad it worked out Ray way so now I can actually use the thing properly.

Printrbot Play does look cool though in its simple aesthetic. Might have to pick one up for the hospital.

Ray Way? If you're a student you can get AutoDesk for Students for free so long as you use your .EDU address.

not sure if that's the best choice for a hospital, probably want to spring for something nicer.

oh then that machine would be fine. Something with a heated bed would probably be better though.

It lacks a heated bed? Hmm. I might have to stick with the Pro since I usually forget to set the tape and glue before sending it to print.

I'd get one of these if you can spring for it. It's one of the best desktop printers out there and it's under half the cost of comparable machines.
