Help with linux

Okay, I'm a complete newbie, but I installed slacko puppy linux to a usb drive and got everything to work fine. The only problem, my dad gave me a hard drive with just some pictures on it, but I'd like to move the os on the usb to the hard drive so I can boot without having to go through bios and boot off of usb...

So all I'm asking is how do I move the os off the usb drive to the hard drive so I can boot from the drive.

You can change the bios to boot from the usb as default.

If you want to move it, you have to install linux on the hdd(deleting all data) or make the hdd a live cd.

TL;DR don't do this, just set the usb as the default boot drive.

I originally wanted to just boot from usb, move the os to the hard drive, then keep my usb as a flash drive for normal use.
