I do not know if there are any other official topic for first time builders so I wanted to make this one for me and the rest

I am building this Friday so I could use all the tips we I could get because I'm afraid my heart is gonna die from the stress of handling the CPU right:D

Also can you download drives and put everything together in a hour?

How long it takes depends entirely on the computer, an experienced builder can assemble a basic new computer in about 15-30 minutes but then there is installing windows which can be anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour depending on the performance of the computer and the method (USB 2.0, USB 3.0 or Disc) used for installing windows then however long it takes to get all the drivers together and installed.

How much power does that  PSU have?

I would also get an air CPU cooler instead of using the stock.

For this months I'm going with stock and then get the coolermaster evolve

So is there anychance of doing it in everything in 45 min with a good connection?

45 min for the build only then maybe hour or 2 for windows and other installs by the way get windows from kinquin.com for like $20-30

Possibly, but probably not for a first timer, what you could do is go ahead and get all the drivers NOW and load them to a second flash drive and get the Windows installer setup on a USB 3.0 flash drive that way you don't have to go looking for drivers after installing windows. and the USB 3.0 will provide the fastest install of Windows.

windows will automatically download most of the drivers - make sure the ram is aligned properly with the little notches in the socket so there's no damage- dont press down on the cpu it will damage it badly - make sure the backplate for the cooler is on tight and don't apply too much thermal paste - a line stretching about 60 percent lengthwise is enough (line has to be thin)

Ok that's a great idea meaning that I will not need an Internet connection to put the basics in nice

The CPU is what keeps giving me nightmares tbh getting that thing right will send my heart to 170

make sure the golden arrow is pointing the right way - there is generally an imprint of the arrow on the socket cover or near it - make sure the arrow on the cpu points the same way

Linus has some nice building logs where he explains several stuff that can be found in this list: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8mG-RkN2uTwlcLU_rv29Gt4578XfgJm_

Worthwhile watch even if you don't have same parts, the basics is same for every build. For example:

Was thinking myself of an overall Q/A style guide on this forum for general rules of thumb and deciding/reasoning on why and what to choose for pc parts. Would be for beginners and people that are not up to snuff with some overall terms thay you encounter when shopping for the overall standard used parts. Would somehting like that be usefull? Because it's a lot of work, especially for typing it since I am no native English... And it would be required to be kept relevant over time, when things change....

The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane.

I definitely think so, my guess is having a big post to outline the basics would be useful. But also have a warning of what to do and not do. I think that In the post I would add 3 builds one for 400 then 500-600 and finally 700 to 800 builds as well as a monster build of 1000 with usually an  update every year on the standards and allow people to have a Q/A in it.

Of  course It would take time but it will help people so it would be nice
