Malicious malware ad popups?

I've just recently been getting dingit.tv popups on my computer and am not quite sure how to get rid of them. Yes, I did download a free program for a game on pc which I'm sure gave me them. Now I just need to get rid of them. I want to use tools such as awcleaner and malwarebytes, but I can't find links of them that I can trust. Could anyone provide the correct links and/or help me out? Thanks

After the trial expires you're on the free version which still has all the features you'll need for this specific problem.

I think I did, but I was too paranoid and didn't want to download another thing that's unsafe and something i'm unsure about.

ah i understand  good that you asked, better safe than sorry! you can always scan small files that you dont trust at virustotal.com
