Can't find my printer.

Go to solution Solved by zanthros,

The printer is a just a wireless printer. You will only be able to access the printer 3 ways:

1. Direct hook up via USB

2. Ethernet cable to the printer if available

3. Put a wireless card in the PC.

Just because it is a wireless printer does not automatically make it a network printer. Normally network printers are hard wired in to the network via a Ethernet cable. This is true in most cases. The easiest way to get it to work is to use any of the 3 above mentioned methods.

Greetings,

I have a printer Epson XP-435 configured to be wireless, and i've successfully connected my laptop to it, but my desktop is not able to find it (searching the network trough the driver installation software).

Neither computer is a part of a domain, and i am able to ping the printers IPv4 address from my desktop.

The printer is connected to the 2.4Ghz band, not tried the 5Ghz band but can't imagine that it would cause any issues.

The IP isn't static (can't imagine this would cause any issues either) and looking trough the setup print, the standard gateway and obviously the subnet mask is standard.

Have anyone encountered similar issues, or have an idea i could try?

NOTE: The laptop is connected to the same WIFI the printer is, and my desktop is connected to the same router using an ethernet cable.
