ram issue not posting

hi

after i add the 8 gb ram in my system,there is no add ram show. so i unplug the old ram and jusy test the new one and it is not working. howevery I plug back my old ram the system just not post. the motherboard light is on and the key board light is one. Is that bacuse my old ram died? or it is someting else? what can i do now. 

 

PLEASE HELP!!!

Clear CMOS and recheck with old RAM only.
