i got a lot of answers for that. 

- if one of my ssd dies the other one would still have files on it

-m.2 is much faster

-not putting it in raid

Personally I would not put a hdd in a PC in 2016. If you are worried about a ssd dying I would have a working backup solution rather an extra ssd. 

 

My build has one 512gb ssd only (enough for me for now). I will be buying a 1tb NAS (synology) for storing music, photos and videos and then work out a good cloud backup solution.

 

Maybe this would work for you too.
