Controller Input in Emulation

So I didn't really know what forum to post on so i'm going to try here.

When I'm using a controller to play games is there a program of some sort to change the sensitivity of the buttons for example on the controller. Some games require you to tap the button for a different action and I find it extremely difficult to reliably press the button without it resulting in doing something else.

Many thanks

No not really, apart from the sticks and triggers which you could adjust the deadzone on.
I suppose maybe a ps3 controller could be better for you as it has pressure sensitive buttons, though I'm not sure how customization that could be with software.
All other controllers have a physical travel to activation which software wouldn't be able to help.

You could maybe open up the controller and put something between the rubber buttons and the plastic button itself.

Edit, reading over your comment again, seems like you're after something else.
You could try adjusting your grip on the controller, that's about it really.
