Id get the 1050ti.

You can use the current psu, its a very low power card.

It is a 1050 Ti

The current gpu draws ~25w, I read that having too little power could damadge other components so I'm too afraid to try it.

You have a 280w psu.

The gpu will pull about 70W

You cpu pulls about 50W.

Everything else pulls about 30-40W.

Your fine, and it won't hurt anything if you pull too much power, it will just shut off, but you won't pull too much power.

The PCIe spec states that graphics cards can pull 75 W from a PCIe slot, so your motherboard should be able to provide it assuming your power supply can handle it.

I wouldn't rely too much on that, as many cheap power supplies lack overcurrent protection, even though they technically should have it.

These aren't that cheap of psu's, there from a big brand. They would be stupid to put a cheap psu in.
