Transportation ATX

Go to solution Solved by Guest,

I run my old mobo+GPU+soundcard on the motherboard mounting plate of an old case. Just removed all the rivits, and screwed the mobo on it. Makes it alot stronger, and flat. No unintended crap from the bottom, shorting it out. No sudden breakages.

You might want to do this too, and add some kind of wooden/cardboard case to it, to fit your backpack. (or get a laptop)

I Have the surface pro 2, i just can't deal with it anymore. I can't play games at all.

I'm probably going to try a somewhat neater version of that right there, thank you :)

Shipping sucks

Hey, it's better then putting it on a mobo cardboard box out in the wild... :P You said it yourself...

Also, older ATX "backplates" from junkyard computer cases can be a great starting point for if you want to build your own case "from scratch". It has all the important screw holes and such.

And @ my picture, this (old) hardware is going inside a new case. Going to my GF, which she will use to connect to her tv, to watch movies on. But since I didn't have any case yet, and I did want to install an OS and some other stuff, this is better then somewhere on the table, or on a cardboard box. It really isn't as bad as it looks. ;)

ATX case that could fit in a backpack?

Doesn't matter color/budget etc.

In a tight spot

If you wanted you could fit the PC inside of a brief case with some vents for the components.
