If by 'servers' the OP means one OS running both a front end and back end then sure, 2x2TB will 'work'. Anything more and you'll want to increase the disk quantity for more IOPS.

With a proper controller, I would say 5x 1TB 7200rpm drives in RAID 6.

Find a motherboard that will allow you to disable option roms from boot (I think most z97 boards do) and then go with an HP P410 raid controller (only raid 5 support unless you buy the license) but the caching will help with the performance. If you go raid 5, set one as a spare.

Drives (suggestion): https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Constellation-ST1000NM0011-Cache-Enterprise/dp/B01DXAQBII/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1477798817&sr=1-3&keywords=1tb+hard+drive&refinements=p_n_feature_keywords_three_browse-bin%3A4990426011%2Cp_n_condition-type%3A2224371011

You can usually find and gen 6 or 7 server chassis on server monkey for cheap. a HP DL380 G6 is 125 bucks and you can get a couple hex cores xeons for 140 bucks. ram isnt to bad either and you can pick up 32GB of DDR3 ECC for like 70 bucks. Then the rest can go into hard drives. You should be able to build a decent server for just about 600CAD.

If all you are going to run is just a lampp (Linux Apache MySQL PHP PHPMyAdmin) and nothing else, you can turn any home computer into a server and just install a linux os and you can get the most out of the os with a lightweight system and small install base. this would be the best for webhost and sql server.
