I'm playing WoW at 1/10 settings in order to obtain 140 fps, which is supported  by my monitor.

If i want to obtain better graphics while still maintaining 1440p/144fps what should i upgrade to.

Maybe i should wait for vega/zen?

I have currently this setup:

  • CPU: i5 Quad core 3570k OC @ 4.3 gHz
  • GPU: Nvidia MSI GTX970 4GB
  • 16GB RAM (1600mHz)
  • ASUS 27" WQHD 2560 x 1440 IPS 144Hz Gaming Monitor (MG279Q)
  • Mobo without SLI / CF support

The 980ti, 1070 and 1080 all seem to be about the best graphics cards for WOW all scoring with in just a few fps on the tests I found. With the 1070 being the cheapest and preforming right in the middle it is the best bang for your buck for playing wow at 1440.
