Kraken 7.1 classic crackling noise

Khaleesinikov

My Kraken that is about 2 years old started making weird noises when the bass hits hard. I have bass boost on the maximum. sound is only noticeable when i put the video volume up to about its half. also noticeable in games.

I've tried switching usb ports, that seemed to work at first but when i stopped and resumed the music, it started it again.

Synapse updated to the latest version

Thanks in advance

remove that extra bass boost, you are just making a insalely muddy bass more muddy and louder, if the driver cannot handle more bass, guess WHAT you get distortion and maybe crackling. You seem to love bass (as other beats generation people), so next time you get headphones or a headset, get some that has the base amount you want.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

i've had these settings for a while and worked like a charm.

and again, i switched now to front panel, started music and turned up volume, no problem. when i stopped and resumed, it started again.

the driver is most likely starting to fail, because it is not made for it.

No. You should just buy a pair of headphones that have the level of bass that you want.

Also, there isn't really much you can downgrade to, coming from the kraken...

I think he doesn't get the term of "drivers" on headsets/headphones.

It's not software driver but the driver inside the headphone, the unit that produces the sound, if you push them above their intended use, they will rattle and distort sound. CMIIW :D
