(Ok, for those new to this, the name of the company is SAMSON not SAMSUNG. They are 2 totally different companies.)

As of now I own a Samson C01U second hand. I didn't buy it. I got it for free. It is a condenser microphone, and was WAY better then my previous microphone. Or, at least I thought. I was trying to record a song's lyrics using Audacity, but when I play the sound, it doesn't sound the same. It seems different than compared to my voice. I looked up reviews. Nothing wrong. It is a good microphone, even for heavy tasks. Then I found out that I was positioning the mic the wrong way. The sound seemed more focused this time, but still a bit off. After that I found out that there was a discontinued driver. I uninstalled that, still nothing changed. It might be a driver issue, or a setting issue, I don't know. I can't find any new drivers on Samson's website. It might be something even with the settings. Which is why, I'm asking you. Reply below what you think might be the issue. Also reply the best recommended settings for condenser microphones. I use windows 10 Pro Anniversary edition, but I think recording options are the same for windows 7 and above.

It is said that an Italian dies every time Spaghetti is broken.

That's why I break mine twice.

How is it setup? Do you have a phantom power supply? or do you have a mixer that provides phantom power?
