Hey guys,

I'm looking at building a custom pc with a budget of $750 USD including Windows and a monitor. Here is what I have come up with so far. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Builder111111stTime/saved/gcD23C

I would prefer Windows 10 and I'm looking for the cheapest nicest 1080p monitor for the best results. Thanks bye :)

the hp monitor looks great aesthetically and performs just as good as any other monitor. If you have a white colour scheme, get the silver one - i have one and it looks great on a monitor stand that's silver/black depending on which colour you choose

Okay, that's pretty cool. Thanks for the feedback, also how do you make your build from PcParPicker like that? To me it seems helpful and would allow for faster feedback.

lol I was just about to post a near identical setup.

OP- go with this. The freesync is nice, and the better CPU should be useful.

Lol no.  6400 is a quad core and will do better than the 6100 all day every day.

Dont be quick to discard amd they have a much better value in the budget range. Free sync is great as well.

Why isn't AMD for you? At least explain it.

A quad core i5 will always be superior to the i3. Games like GTA V will see noticeably less stuttering.

Csgo and (I think) overwatch are very CPU bound games. A better CPU will be very beneficial.

clock speed does not matter. the i5 has 4 cores while the i3 only has 2, which will make the i5 much better for gaming.

Clock speed is becoming an increasingly less significant figure. There is many other things to consider such as efficieny and core count. Games use 4 cores. Because of that, It is HIGHLY recommended that you use a quad core when possible.

1060 3G is very poor price to performance. Despite sharing the name as the 10606g, it is a very different gpu. I still recommend the Rx 470, it is excellent at 1080 p and will allow you to max out and get very good fps on every game you play.

Let me re phrase my topic... I want to play games 1080p, be able to overclock, play games like Overwatch medium settings good fps, a screen that is big but not huge that provides best bang for buck, and be able to maybe record Overwatch or csgo, for the grand price of $750.

And with an rx470, and a 6400 you will be able to play every game at ultra settings at 1080p, and be able to get 60+ fps easily. That is the best value and will cost 750.
