i tried using the "bcdedit /set {current} useplatformclock yes" command and got this lovely error mssg.

"The boot configuration data store could not be opened. Access is denied."

When you opened up command did you right click it and open in admin?

What is the problem again? That your game run faster? I don't really get it

If I understand correctly he means the entire system is running at double speed. (So, as an example the animation for the start menu opening runs at a quarter second instead of half a second, etc.)

Yes, it's 2871 as in the year 2871. I traveled all this way, back in time, just to help you. And you thought your mama lied when she said you were special-_-

That's more like a program issue I think

Ya done fucked up. lol. But on a real note does the issue still happen with Bclk/Multi set to stock. What are your overclocking settings? Do you have HPET disabled?

Also do a quick google search for windows (whatever you're using) Real time clock. That was a pretty common issue using windows 8.

When I set the Bclk to default speed the problem goes away.

The problem is still there with or without HPET on.

And what do you mean by searching for real time clock? (I'm on windows 10 btw)

What motherboard are you using? More than likely you're overclock (since you're probably increasing Bclk) is affecting your pcie speed which you can see if there's a way to lock pcie speed in bios. The other possibility is that windows is seeing that and it's freaking out. If you can't find anything about pcie speed in bios maybe we'll look into rtc though I haven't heard of many instances of it happening with Windows 10 yet.

As for your cpu multiplier jumping around that's part of IEST (Speedstep) and possibly with turbo boost being enabled as well. You should disable both in bios until you dial in your inital overclock. That being said *most* x58 motherboards will lock the multiplier to 20 with some bios revisions even if you set it to 21 it will typically only set the multiplier of a couple cores at a time to 21 and not while all cores are under load.

I'd almost bet there is something in the BIOS (something to make sure you are using 64 bit, or something to do with time clock in BIOS and setting it to the real date and time in BIOS and saving it, or even maybe as simple as right clicking the time clock in windows and making sure its right and setup for web based sync might solve it too but if not you can try what he did with that command code, maybe that will fix the issue for you. I've messed with plenty of X58 stuff and never encountered that issue personally. Windows 10 is usually great about old machines too. Only issue I've ever encountered was old builds having a CMOS battery die and want to revert the date and time to 2008 or 2010 on a reboot and you would have to correct the time and restart or chrome and firefox wouldn't even let you access the web unless the time was correct, no speedhack game mode though lol.
