HB & Flex SLI

I'm currently in the process of building a water cooled system, which features two 1080s in SLI.

I've got this amazing idea of placing the GPUs in a diagonal position using PCI risers, but this will result in a height difference, meaning I can't use hard SLI bridges.

After browsing different forums and websites for a while I understood that 2 flexible SLI bridges cannot replace a HB sli bridge, with the difference growing a lot more significant at high resolutions (the system is planned to run games in 4k).

I'm not worried about cost at all, compared to the price of the GPUs the SLI bridge is nothing, but I was wondering if there is any way i could bypass the hard bridge and maybe find a flexible HB one somewhere (any companies that can make one custom??), or should I scrap the idea and use a hard bridge?

a hb bridge is just 2 normal hard bridges stuck together. if you put 2 separate hard bridges on nv control panel reads them as a hb bridge. just use 2 normal flexible bridges. hb bridges are just another way to make money and another way to scare people away from 3 and 4 way sli.
