Afternoon LTT,

I have 2 GTX 970's running in SLI in my PC.
As I turned on my PC, my temperature of one of my graphics cards was in the high 50's whilst idle (normally 30degrees) so I removed the graphics card, rebooted and all seemed well.
Upon plugging back in the GPU the same problem occurred, so I took it out again, had a look if there was any dust build up (there wasn't) and plugged it back in on its own.
I have a display but the temperature is still in the high 50's
I decided to run fire strike, which didn't even boot up after loading and I got an error.

I've tried both PCI-E slots. Cleaning the GPU. Reseating the cables.
Both GPU's are NOT overclocked and run at factory settings.
Anyone think of any issues?

But I had a 970 and it was running in these temp... 50 idle.. 73 on load..

Also maybe posting the error you got in firestrike could help

Okay, tried in another PC, same issues. Tried another GPU in mine, works fine.

FireStrike says workload produced no results.

Might give ASUS tech support a ring in the morning.

Good troubleshooting, now you know its the gpu the issue. Not your board :)

Good luck with the asus support
