I am trying to find a way to stabilize my slider on a tripod. I can't seem to find a way to get my slider off the ground and not have major tilting when my camera rig slides over the the far left or right. A slider is almost useless if you can only slide with the 10in. in the middle.

Any creative ideas?

Get a heavy duty tripod and head that can support the weight and lock things tight or use a cheap light stand and spread the slider across your tripod and the light stand.

I am using a Manfrotto 504 head and 456gb sticks locked down and I'm getting the tilt.

I'm starting to think its the slider and it's time to get an iFootage S1 and not worry about it.

I wouldn't consider the 504 or the 456 to be heavy duty at all.

How about putting a support under each end of the slider, your tripod at one end and another tripod, monopod, or lightstand at the other.
