Hey Guys, I'm looking for a new Gaming PC. The Specs I would choose

Intel i7 3770k

Enermax ETS-T40-TB

Motherboard (Hope you give me some tips)

MSI N680 Lightning

Crucial Ballistix 8GB

Corsair AX850W PSU

A SSD for my OS

A HDD for Games and other Stuff.

Later a NZXT Switch 810 and maybe some Watercooling Stuff.

This PC is only for Gaming. I'm looking for a MB. Please help.

Looks good to me, that i7 3770K might come in handy in the future if games start using more threads. A Z77 GD55 will be good enough for a gaming rig, but if you plan to overclock go for the MSI Z77 MPower.

PSU is pretty overkill, ~550W is enough for one card, 750 Watt would be good if you plant to go SLI in the future.

CPU: AMD 3950x Mobo: MSI B550 RAM: 32GB DDR4 GPU: Asus 3080 Strix PSU: Superflower Leadex 3 720w Case: BeQuiet 500DX

Storage: 2TB SSD + 4TB HDD Audio: SMSL 793ii -> HiFiman HE-400 + Mission MS-50 Speakers

Should the GTX 680 be enough? Is that what you are asking? Yes a GTX 680 is plenty powerful, unless you are planning on using a multiple monitor setup with mad resolution in which case you would probably need to go sli. Otherwise I was actually going to recommend a GTX 670. There isn't that much in the difference between them power wise and its a good bit cheaper.

Rig: i7 2600K @ 4.2GHz, Larkooler Watercooling System, MSI Z68a-gd80-G3, 8GB G.Skill Sniper 1600MHz CL9, Gigabyte GTX 670 Windforce 3x 2GB OC, Samsung 840 250GB, 1TB WD Caviar Blue, Auzentech X-FI Forte 7.1, XFX PRO650W, Silverstone RV02 Monitors: Asus PB278Q, LG W2243S-PF (Gaming / overclocked to 74Hz) Peripherals: Logitech G9x Laser, QPad MK-50, AudioTechnica ATH AD700

I would go for a 3570k instead of a 3770k because you won't need it unless you do rendering. As for your motherboard, I would go with the Asus P8Z77-V series motherboards. If you are a budget, get the Asus P8Z77-V LK. If not, then you can get a Asus P8Z77-V board.

Normally I would say "Drop the 3770k for a 3570k and use the money for a better GPU", but since you already have a good GPU I won't. :P

For the motherboard, I would suggest looking into either the Asus p8Z77-V or the MSI Z77A-GD55.

the ASRock performance is a great mobo

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157298

I'd say go for a hyper 212 evo instead, pretty sure it beats it slightly.

drop the 3770K to a 3570K as said above if it's main use is gaming, since games can't properly make use of the extra threads of the 3770K yet, unless of course you have a microcenter near you and going down to a 3570K only saves you around $40

I'd also say go for a 7970 instead, you get 2 free games bioshock infinite and crysis 3,plus it's cheaper.

this HDD is pretty good

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148840

as for the SSD intel 520 is good

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820167093

I'd say go with a seasonic x-750 instead.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151087

lower price, still gold certification, full modular still, but all the cables are ribbon cables which will make cable management much easier

and with a 750 watt you can easily run sli/Xfire with a 680 or 7970.

and it doesn't hurt that it has slightly less bad reviews and slightly more good reviews than the AX850

looks like you have many options here, i think its good for you to choose components that you can afford and decide what is the most important thing to put the money towards.

a good starting point is the m/board & Cpu, as you can get a half decent GPU then later date get another and go sli / x-fire) same with memory, go for a 2 module stick config or 8 gigs and then later on when you can afford buy another (exact same) kit to make it 16 gig.

From my experience i think thats a good route to take, first and it looks like you want to go with Indel, so then you have to decide are you going to go with usb 3, Sata 3, Pci-e 3 board which will narrow it down to what is out there. then carefully select the correct recommended ram to fit the m/board.

I think you get the picture, its common sence building.

not many people including myself can afford to get all the components in one shot.

just remember the m/board is the backbone to your system and therefore choose wisely.

got to love Asus components

I can't decide which MoBo is better:

The MSI Z77 MPower or the MSI Z77A-GD65 Gaming.

Please leave a comment to tell which one is better.

I would go for the MPower motherboard because it is a great board for overclocking since you have a "K" CPU.
