This PC is my dream PC. I am going on a budget of ~$1000 and I'm going to use this PC for Programming, Unity, Blender, and Gaming. I am going to only use 1 monitor though I might upgrade to 2 later on (In other words, I'm fine with 1 monitor, though if I could afford 2 I'd be happy). I am not using this PC for VR. However, I am going to buy the Peripherals(Mouse, Keyboard(Slim or mechanical), Monitor, etc). The reason why I'm upgrading is because I'm stuck with the CX61 laptop which is somewhat slow for what I'm doing. This is my first PC build so I hope it turns out all right! (I'm in the US)

To be frank... no.

1. the i5 4460 is older, the i5 6500 is the newer version.

2. a Z97 board is really meant for overclockable processors.

3. the GTX 970 is now outdated, a 6GB GTX 1060 is what you'd want now.

4. You do not need a sound card

5. That's an aweful PSU

6. a 3TB HDD and a 120GB SSD?!

Looks great! Are you sure you don't want an i5 6600?

Yes, it's 2871 as in the year 2871. I traveled all this way, back in time, just to help you. And you thought your mama lied when she said you were special-_-
