I made a post similar to this before but it has become outdated.

I just bought a new pc for gaming / low productivity.

My issue here is that I would like to get a new gpu since an integrated one isn't cutting it. I'm currently looking at the 1050 ti or 1050 but worried that the bottleneck will be unplayable. Any other suggestions would be helpful.

My budget is £200

Pc Specs:

AMD A8-5600K 3.6 GHz
AMD Radeon HD 7560D
8 GB Ram
MSI FM2-A55M-E33

I think that a GTX 1050 should be fine, but then again, it is a 5600K which isn't that good of a processor so bottlenecking is possible. I hate to say this, but this type of stuff is why you should have done some more research, before spending you cash on something that doesn't do what you want it to and then end up spending twice as much trying to correct that error.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 - 3900x @ 4.4GHz with a Custom Loop | MBO: ASUS Crosshair VI Extreme | RAM: 4x4GB Apacer 2666MHz overclocked to 3933MHz with OCZ Reaper HPC Heatsinks | GPU: PowerColor Red Devil 6900XT | SSDs: Intel 660P 512GB SSD and Intel 660P 1TB SSD | HDD: 2x WD Black 6TB and Seagate Backup Plus 8TB External Drive | PSU: Corsair RM1000i | Case: Cooler Master C700P Black Edition | Build Log: here

i would go for something used if you have a good psu, but i think not, if you bought branded desktop, they always have 300W china psus..

if your psu suck, go for the 460, but not today, wait some days, they need to cut down the prices because of the 1050.

if you psu is good (like a 400w bronze or more) go for an used card, 670 (faster than a 460)  or for the cheaper 660Ti 7870/270X (same performance of the 460)

PSU:https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Power+Supplies/Non-Modular+650W+or+less/500W+-+EVGA+80%2B+White+Rated+Power+Supply+?productId=60504

from that site this https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Power+Supplies/Non-Modular+650W+or+less/Thermaltake+TR2+Challenger+500W+80%2B+Certified+APFC+Power+Supply+OEM+?productId=63150

itsn't the best, but it's the less expensive bronze plus..you don't need an expensive psu..

anyway if you don't like it, just avoid china stuff and Corsair CX series (they are china stuff)
