So I've installed Windows many times on my PC's and I've never had this problem before. In this case I already had Windows 10 installed but my intentions were to wipe my computer and start fresh (I'be done this before).

So I downloaded the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool and installed it onto a USB and booted from the USB. Like usual I went into the custom option and began formatting and deleting my current partitions. All of them except for my D: drive could be properly deleted. It says "System" to the right of it though and the delete option is greyed out. I've never had this issue before so this is entirely new to me. I just want to install Windows completely from nothing.

What do I have to do to delete this partition? I had already tried creating a simple volume from it but I'm not allowed to which makes no sense because I installed Windows 10 on my SSD. Though when I format the "System" partition it tells me I have no OS yet this partition is part of the D: drive which I never installed Windows on.

Thanks in advance guys, it would mean a lot to me if I could get a simple solution to this.

you should provide us with more info

is this D drive a volume on the SSD or is this a different disk (HDD)?!

if it's a different disk, you should remove it physically (unplug the power connector from it) and install Windows on your SSD

Sorry I meant to make it clear that the weird thing is it shows my entire "disk 0" which is one of my Seagate 1TB. It says "System" to the right of it yet it's empty.

This wouldn't be a problem if I was allowed to use the drive but it's acting like it's a reserved drive yet it doesn't even have the OS on it.
