New build freezing, please help!

Specs below, I've noticed my new build is freezing when on games or even just when on chrome.

 

By freezing I mean :
 

Everything just stops working. It's asif i'm looking at a screenshot of my PC, nothing goes " not responding " , nothing closes, nothing changes, it just completley freezes.

During this freeze I have noticed the reset button does not work.

 

Sometimes it happens every 10 minutes, sometimes it will go 2 days without freezing.

 

I haven't got application errors, I have tried reseating my ram into the slot A1 and B1 instead of A2 and B2 ( currently running this now, hasen't frozen since but we will see ), it is not a temperature issue either. 

 

I have also run an SFC scan ( no problems ) malwarebytes, GPU and CPU stress testing for an hour ( no problems ). All drivers up to date.

 

I ran the windows memory test as my friend has my USBs so I can't use memtest. It ran for a while with no errors, then I went to the kitchen, came back and my PC was on the dekstop, so I don't know if it came back with errors or not.

 

 

Any ideas?

May be memory, either dimm slot or dimm stick. Try running memtest, and maybe play around with the ram and see if you can reproduce the issue.

When everything freezes, can you have task manager open and look at your disk usages? It may be spiking up to 100%. Let me know if this is the case.

I can't run memtest. I don't have a USB atm or a CD drive.

Isn't a disk issue, i've had disk 100% usages before and it's not like this. This is a complete freeze, I can't do anything.

Have you tried installing teamviewer or any other remote software? When your PC freezes can you see if you can remote into it and control it remotely?

Well, that's your best bet. Just run to a drugstore and buy a 4gb one, they are like $5.

When testing for RAM, only use one stick at a time.
So try stick 1 in slot 1, test

Then stick 1 slot 2 etc

 

Yes it will take some time, but might help you figure out if its the motherboard or RAM sticks
