How to get 75 Hz working on GTX 960

urexyvca

I have GTX 960 and a 60 Hz screen by default. I want to overclock it to 75 Hz. In the Control Panel, I was able to add a custom resolution (I use native resolution, I just change the refresh rate) and refresh rate. When I apply it the desktop runs fine with 75 Hz. However when I launch games, it goes back to 60 Hz. If games have an option to select refresh rate, they don't work and keep them running on 60 Hz. When I go back to desktop, it goes back to 75 Hz. I've tried lots of things to get games run on 75 Hz but I couldn't.

The reason I'm posting this on graphics cards board is because the screen can work with 75 Hz just fine. I was able to run games on 75 Hz if I connected my display to Intel HD Graphics HDMI port on motherboard and add that custom resolution and refresh rate on Intel control panel. But it doesn't really make sense to game on Intel graphics so...

Any idea how to get this working on my GTX 960?
