In that case I'd personally recommend the PG278Q, or if you really want to break the bank some other people will come around this topic telling you to go PG279Q which comes with an IPS screen and a slightly higher refresh rate (165 vs 144), but not guaranteed I believe.

Anyways, enjoy your future purchase!

probably the swift.

If you have a NVIDIA card, I'd say the DELL S2716DG. Once you mess with the colour settings, it looks great. And don't let the TN panel put you off, the DELL one is superb.

Best Buy has it on sale for $479 right now: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/dell-27-led-gsync-monitor-black/5293502.p?skuId=5293502

Good. People tend to be put off by them because IPS panels offer better colour accuracy and better viewing angles, and as a result, look better than TN ones.

This specific Dell one is great though.

I've said this in another similar topic, but I bought the ASUS PG278Q second hand a while ago now. It retails for €600-700 around here and I bought it for €400. Depending if you live in Europa or north America you could possibly replace the € by the $ sign. It features G-sync and some other features that justify it's new price and certainly the discounted one for an 1 year old model. So you could either search for a second hand one or buy it brand new.

That said you are committing yourself to Nvidia graphics cards but that's something you probably already know.

Hope this helps! ^_^

thanks my man.

Alternatively, you could get a refurbished Acer XB271HU for around $550-ish which is an IPS monitor. The only problem is trying to snag one before it goes out of stock :D
