question about motherboard

if a motherboard have 3 fan headers that means that you only can have 3 case fans?

You can have a splitter in which the signal would be sent to multiple fans. But without a splitter of any kind, you can have only 3 fans.

you can use spliters, and you can also power fans, using molex to fan headers.

Yes you can use splitters, but make sure you dont end up frying the 3 pin

You can also use a FAN-MOLEX adapter and run some fans off of MOLEX power connectors.

 

So you could have a near infinite number of fans!
