Hi! I bought a new Noctua NH-D15s, its orientation is pushing air out to the back of the case (fan not facing upwards). And, while OCing my i5 3570k to 4.2GHz on 1.240V .. my temps are at 49-53Celcius which is I assume fine?

Now on stock, the temps are at 45-48 I believe .. which is quite odd aswell.

On load, stock temps are 60 to 65-66 Celcius.

On load, OC temps are 70-75C almost reaching 80? what.

Is this fine for my i5 3570k?

Now I'm trying to figure out since I replaced my CPU Cooler from the Scythe Katana 3(which gave me 85-90C at stock!) why am I not getting low temps?

Also, I put enough thermal paste, redid it multiple times, reseated it multiple times .. still not affecting temps for some reason.

And also my GPU is 35C at idle, at load it's 60-62

Specs:

i5 3570k 4.2GHz with Noctua NH-D15s

Gigabyte Gaming Windforce GTX 980 Ti 1477/8000 [MHz]

12GB RAM G.Skill Ripjawz 1600MHz

Possible bad air flow? even tho I doubt it..

And I see many people with such low temps aswell, someone is running a 1080 OC'd on 40Celcius when he's playing Battlefield 1.. which it's an insane temp... makes me jealous too.

That seems like a perfectly fine temp for your CPU. The only thing I can think of is maybe your case's airflow is not quite optimized, but 80c when overclocking while under load is totally fine for the CPU.

When in doubt, re-format.

It could be bad airflow. I had mine situated to where it was pulling hot air from the back of my GPU and i changed it and now im good.

Those temps sound fine, for a stock cooler.  Here's a small test: push the cooler against the motherboard. If the temps drop, you didn't secure it tightly enough.

Granted it's a 65W processor, but if my i7-6700 can float around 55C in a dinky case while at turbo frequencies with a 90W cooler, then I'm going to blame something is up with cooler first.

Mhm.. well it's at 69-72 most of the times with the new cooler.. correction..

At like hours of gameplay tho it reaches to 76-78C ... but I want to be assured, is this ok?

Again, Im quite jealous people getting 4.7GHz and 60Celcius :( .. same cooler too! D:

Again it depends on a few variables like Case airflow and how your fans are oriented in a push/pull configuration, also you should check to see if ALL of your fans in the case are active

and make sure that the heat sink has good contact with the CPU.

Im currently waiting for my new heatsink to arrive xD

What is the room temperature? Is this case crammed inside of a cubby? What is the motherboard temperature?

80c is on the higher end but not dangerous. If everything is working correctly, your PC will restart itself if it gets too hot.

2 fans on front pushing air in http://imgur.com/F0zOugh

1 fan on top pushing air out as exhaust http://imgur.com/1PbGyes

1 back fan pushing air out http://imgur.com/1PbGyes

CPU Fan cooler pushing air to the back fan direction http://imgur.com/0IQivFl

CPU Cooler oriented to push air to the back of the fan.. was upwards before.

See images... Im trying my case opened for now hold on

Ambient temps + outside temps are: 23C, Ambient temp I suppose 24C? ..

Btw it's a Sharkoon Tauron, fans are cheap af.

uhh Based on those temps that you just gave that's letting me know that there is not enough cool air being brought into the case fast enough as a result your seeing those higher temps

id also suggest to go into the GPU fan setting and max them Out and see how the temps very when you put the case cover on the again then see what temp it is when its in idle and when its under load

It's at 100% D: ... Case closed: 65C. Case opened: 55-60C for GPU.

How do I max my fans to the max? I want them to work at full speed at all time.. (case fans and CPU fan)

Mobo: Gigabyte Z77-D3H .. REALLY REALLY OLD BOARD.

Also, if I change my Mobo,CPU,RAM.. I will get less temps right?

if you want to manually max out your airflow on your case I recommend you get a fan controller now for the cpu fan  I would check the BIOS or CMOS what ever you call it and see if you can. ( but I do not advise changing anything unless you know what you are doing)

Oh hmm.. without a fan controller I cannot affect the speed? alright.. that sucks.. :(

But still.. aren't these temps too high? I mean.. I guess it's alright if it's below 70 yea? but that sucks man :(.. Expected something else.

Okay, I lowered the voltage to 1.095, it passed a Prime95 6+ hours test with flying colors on 60C at all times.. games run at 50-57C now (52C at times).. holy moly..

1.095V on my old cooler, my PC didnt even boot XD?

(4GHz)
