I was planning on picking up a vive for christmas. I need new gpu. Was looking at the seahawk x ek 1080. Or should I wait for 1080ti. Or do I get titan xp.

Titan XP is not a worth investement. Wait for 1080 Ti

1070 and lower is also fine for VR. You need that 1080 also for your normal screen? Ofcourse if budget is no issue, it's something different...
