Restart Router Cause DC

Whenever i have to restart my router/modem my PC shows that i'm disconnected (the yellow triangle icon appear), even tho my router/modem shows i have internet, and I can't use internet at all. In order to be able to connect to internet again I must restart my PC.

 

Any thoughts why this is happenning?

 

My PC has i5 6600K, MSI z170A Gaming M7, 16GB Ram and EVGA G2 750W.

You should never have to restart your router/modem anyways. If you DO have to do this (often), you should get a replacement in my opinion...

 

Btw, ISP's usually will tell you to leave your modem/router on 24/7, because of, for example, firmware pushes.

Your computer may still be trying to use the IP address it had before the router was rebooted. next time you have this situation, open a command prompt as administrator and run the following:

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /renew

The first command tells your comouter to forget its IP, the second tells it to ask for a new one

well this time I restart the router and I lost my connection and my sound got fucked up... It was like something was blowing.

I tried your way and that's what i got!

 

PS I had to restart again in order Internet and Sound work fine again!

If your sound has gone out as well just from rebooting your router, then something is seriously wrong with your computer.
