I'm trying to build a new PC again. This isn't the first time building one but I haven't gotten to up-to-date with the new stuff. I'm aware of the new GPUs like the GTX 1080 and the other 2

Anyways, my min budget I guess you can say around $2,000 (US). If I can build anything less and still run great for current games would be much Appreciate. I don't mind Tipping a bit over the Budget. Would also want it to be at least Future Proof.

I'm not looking forward to 4k gaming. Highest res I would say 2k. Most likely gonna be playing on 1080p. Might change my mind in the future but not really motivated to change my Monitor :/ Still works so why to change it.

Thanks in advance :)

This is a very capable 144hz or 1440p build, no bells and whistles that will waste money either.

2k is a lot of money to spend on a 1080p system. should be able to get a 6600k and gtx 1080 if you're after 144fps on ultra settings on all AAA games going forward though.

I'm fully aware it's a lot of money for a 1080p. But the main point is to Future proof it :)

I thought 2K should be enough to make a which is practically a 4k build I would assume. Like I said, I might change my mind in the future and upgrade my monitor.
