Cruical Mx300 M.2

So I have a dieing HDD in my current system and want to switch over to purely SSD because I can. I was looking at Crucials because i need it for mass storage so I didn't want to spend extra on a Samsung Evo (Already have one for my boot drive)

To my surprise crucial offers a 525gb M.2 2280 ssd for $119!? Is that a crazy good deal or am I still living in 2015 when m.2 drives were like 2x the price of normal SSDs?

It's not a bad choice. The 850 EVO and MX300 have very similar performance until the queue being the only point where they differ drastically or beyond margin of error.

Any reason you don't want a HDD?

I just want to have fast storage overall. I never used more than 300gb of my 2tb HDD i have right now so that removes the real need for a HDD. Also I have an matx case so removing the 3.5 cages would be nice.

 

I just couldnt believe I could get an m.2 for that cheap
