computer died after update urgent

Just after updating my computer about 5 mins ago i started up my computer and was left with an error saying:

windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. to fix the problem:

1. insert your windows installation disc and restart the computer

2 choose your language and then click next 

3 click repair your computer

 

File: \boot\BCD

status0xc000000f

info: the boot configuration data for your pc is missing or contains errors

please help

 

it is currently attempting repairs but has been like that for about 10 minutes

Update the repair failed and also can not go back to the last system build

Do you have another computer you can make a bootable windows USB from?

Had this error before, it's the most annoying one I ever had.

Tried a million things, reinstalling windows completely was the easiest.

 

If you don't want to do that, you can try to switch UEFI to legacy or the other way around.

I have a windows 10 installer that i can install onto my blank SSD. if i do that would the files on the hard drive still be accessable

Only if you have a blank partition cause windows formats the drive before you install the OS.

 

But if you have the install disk of USB you can boot from it and instead of installing it you can repair it from that disk.

The repair dosnt work. if I instal windows onto another drive will i be able to get files of the drive with windows on it?
