Hey there!

I am looking for a laptop for my sister. She turns 16 and attends a school for architecture. So she will be using CAD Programs and some other 3D software. So now my question: do these programs profit of multi threading(i7?) or is a good external GPU more important(960/70m?)?

And if u have some good suggestion another important point is that it will need to be handy so she can carry it to school and back easily(light, reasonable sized).

PS: Bugget is around 800€

A good CPU is definitely more important, but those tend to come with better GPUs. May I suggest the Dell Inspiron? Got a 6700HQ (best current non-insane laptop CPU) and a 960m

I would look at this Inspiron if you need something a good GPU that isn't insane
