Outputting internet connection over ethernet

As part of my extremely complex but somehow permitted school web filter bypassing system, i have a raspberry pi connected to a VPN. That part works fine, although i have now hit an issue beyond my knowledge. I need to output the connection over a USB ethernet adapter to the access point. When plugging it in, it appears as eth1 under 'ifconfig', so i know it works. I'm just not sure how to set it as an output of the connection instead of the default input.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Kinda doubt any bypass to the school's web filtering is allowed.

Usb to ethernet connections are meant to give ethernet and send it to the usb port, it might not work the other way try to switch it around so the usb is the input and the ethernet is output.

Thanks, i will try. I have used the adapter previously to send the signal out and it worked.

After many hours of studying the Acceptable Use Policy of my schools network, it is only states you cannot attempt to access Pornography or Illegal download sites... I am not attempting to access either of those, merely use FB, IG, SC etc in lessons, plus my idea includes a web filter blocking those :P
