Custom Desk Case

So i've pretty much finished the design of a custom computer desk case and it's amazing! But I designed it for 1/2 inch thick hardwood, and I was wondering if I should step it up to 3/4 of an inch? On one hand it will obviously make it more structurally sound but it will also add extra cost for shipping. Tell me how thick you think the wood should be. Thanks a million and i will probably post pictures soon :D

I would go 3/4 for the structural rigidity.

if its natural hardwood, id go with the 3/4, as if its thinner it might bow with the constant on/off heat of the PC
