The opposite. The Witcher 3, at least at the highest difficulty settings, has an extremely enjoyable and rewarding amount of challenge. I personally think SoM becomes a gratuitously easy power fantasy too fast by giving you too many upgrades too soon without asking you to make any difficult trade-offs.

 

I wouldn't buy The Witcher 3 purely for it's combat, though. Get it for it's storytelling and world-building if you're going to. That's what it does best.

Combat isnt Witcher 3 best strength. Its ok, but on its own its not realy that good.
