ok here is the thing  my gpu gets super hot i need to change thermal paste like every week so i was thinking to buy this

Arctic Cooling MX-4

do u think after applying this i will not need to change thermal paste for like 2 or 3 years as it says 8 years durability on the pack ?

PS : i have seen cheap thermal paste last like 10 years on cpu socket cant say much about gpu ...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
also i am thinking to buy USB 3.0 Extension Cable male to female
the thing is my external usb dvd only works on usb 3.0 ports of my new computer for some reason ...
and its very hard to use it as the cables of my dvd are very small  so i bought two usb 2.0 cables but it wont work with them
it wont even detect it like it wont even show power indication but flash drives seem to work fine except they give usb 2.0 speeds so will buying these 3.0 version cable fix the problem  ....
??
THANKS IN ADVANCE
AND SORRY ABOUT SECTION I DIDN'T FIND AN APPROPRIATE SECTION FOR THIS TOPIC
I'm not sure about the second one. I mean it's worth a shot a usb 3.0 cable doesn't cost that much so go for it. And as for the GPU what kinda temps are you reaching on your card?
Yeah it's a good cooler but it is odd that you are getting 90c at stock load i'm assuming? What kind of case are you using? Is there something wrong with the card itself? Have you attempted to RMA? Could be a problem with the card. Maybe the airflow in your case isnt good the card isnt getting enough air? I mean there are a lot of things you should look into before buying a 50-80 dollar aftermarket cooler. Cause honestly if your card is getting that hot with that 2 fan cooler. Another cooler might not fix it : /
Yeah i'm sure that doesn't help. I mean I don't know what your fan set up is but i know for a fact the SM elite 310 doesn't have the best airflow : / I had a case similar to is in the past. And I had a gigabyte 6870 and from reviews that thing was always around 70c under load but in my case it was hitting 95c. A change of case can make a world of difference honestly. Try taking off the side panel and blowing a house fan on low into it see what kind of temps under load you get.
I would email their support staff just to see. Sometimes they cancel RMAs if you take off the heatsink sometimes they don't just have to ask them I suppose. And as for the motherboard you might be able to get a decent overclock out of that maybe a 500-600 mhz OC but I wouldn't push it too far so you should be able to get about 4.5 GHZ with it safely which is a respectable OC for the 8350. Anything higher I'd suggest getting a new mobo and CPU xcooler but really you'd spend nearly 200 dollars on a mother board and cooler for maybe another 300-400mhz so I think your MOBO is fine the way it is for the OC youd get with the hyper 212 : )
if ur ambients are 30c it could be what is making hit 90, otherwise maybe it'd be at ~80 or less? idk, their might be something wrong with the card, I'd say go and try and rma etc
No yeah i know you do and i'm saying with the power delivery you have you will only be able to get about 400-500 mhz out of an OC. You can get some heatsinks like the pic you just posted but I think they'd only help with temps and you wouldn't get that much better of an OC but just my thoughts : /
What, laying new thermal paste every week? That is totally wrong. Your CPU socket isn't made for infinite open and close, your heat sink mounting bolts/parts are also not made for infinite install and re-install, eventually you're going to break something, even the motherboard.
Install it and leave it alone, your CPU and everyone's CPU gets hot, its what happens when you pack so many transistors tightly together and push some current through it. Unless you own something pre P4 your CPU will auto shutdown when it gets to a critical temperature so don't get all fussy about it, does it even reach close to critical temperature? I'm assuming you are so worried about the temp that you have been recording the temp and know its getting close to the critical temp? Where's your data?
I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.
This is NOT the signature you are looking for.
