Black Widow Issue

Hey folks,

 

Got an issue that I'm not sure can be fixed. I've had to switch out my Black Widow Ultimate for a stand-in while I either fix the current problem with it or I replace it. What's happening is that some of the keys when hit type that character along with another, sometimes on the other side of the board. Has anyone else had this issue? I've had this thing for a while and this is the first problem that's occured.

 

Wondering if removing the keys, cleaning it then reassembling would work, or if it's something internal.

Is it consistent? So when you press A it always also types a K (for example)?

Always or just sometimes?

Happens when you press hard only or also when you press very smooth?

 

Sound like a wiring problem at first glance. Cleaning and going flat out WD-40 on it might help for some time at least.

It always happens with the same keys affected by the issue. I haven't yet taken down exactly which keys they are due to working overtime since the problem began.

 

It happens whenever I do the keystroke, hard or smooth likewise.

Just an update:

 

I uninstalled all the firmware and software for the Razer devices I have. Reinstalled everything, plugged the keyboard in and it works beautifully.
