Upgrade Advice

Hi everyone. I've been thinking about upgrading my PC and i need a bit of help.
I currently have:
Intel Core I3 3240 2,40GHz
AMD Radeon R7 240
Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. H61M-S2PV
DDR3 RAM 2x4GB

500W Power Supply
Idk what to get. I've been thinking about getting a new GPU but aren't  sure which one.
I don't have a really big budget so i want to be sure i get the most out of this update.

Any and all help is really appreciated

Rly? I was always told that the I3 was a solid cpu.

What's your main usage on the pc anyway?

If it's only web surfing, office work and light gaming then the I3 is solid but anything above that it's kind of limiting with a dual core

Im planning to use it for gaming and i know i need both a better cpu and a gpu but im just wandering which one will give me a bigger increase in performance till i get the other one
