keep in mind everything is in AUD

So I am creating my first PC with a max price of $2050, this is including the $500 I have put into peripherals n monitor. Please leave suggestions for what you recommend I change in order to save more money/get better performance/look more aesthetically pleasing. I will be using the PC for gaming, recording and light editing. ALL PURCHASES WILL BE THROUGH MWAVE SO PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU BROWSE THE SITE FOR COMPONENTS AS IM VERY UNLIKELY TO BUY ANYWHERE ELSE DUE TO CONVENIENCE

Get an Unlocked CPU if you wanna pair it with a Z series mobo.

"Z series mobo" ? Sorry, & what do you mean by unlocked, I am not very experienced.

You'll also want an SSD - maybe just like a 250gb one for Windows and your programs since this will be a massive improvement to your user experience.

https://www.mwave.com.au/product/corsair-force-le-240gb-25-sata-iii-ssd-cssdf240gbleb-ab81093 is one i found

But what does it do? I don't want to be spending unnecessary money here but will take your word for it, I completely forgot about the installation of windows too which will be $140, do you have any idea on a cheaper motherboard so I can afford the SSD without any problems?

Do you really want the wireless mouse? The mamba tournament edition is wired but is cheaper

I have changed the the Tournament and decided to also purchase a Razer Sieren, I really dont care what people have to say about the mic, I like it, I've seen the comparisons and I am going to get it. Do you have a recommendation on a ssd?

I browsed through the shop and it seems like the crucial mx300 275 GB ssd is a great choice. Recently had a friend whos 750 EVO failed on him

Does this mean I will need a harddrive and SSD ? If only an SSD replaced the hd

You can use just an SSD, but you'll get better value for money with both since HDDs are cheaper per GB but SSDs have much better performance. By having both, you won't compromise on storage space, and your computer will boot and load much much faster.

Windows 10 supports having multiple storage devices. Here's my guide on setting them up: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/629590-windows-10-wont-reset/#comment-8131454

I edit my posts a lot.

Z series and unlocked CPU (models with K at the back e.g. 4770K) allows you overclock your CPU which will lead to faster performance. If you're not gonna do overclocking, i would suggest you to get motherboards with either B or H in front E.G. B170 or H170

Why on earth waste 200 bucks on a wireless mouse. You can get 50 dollar wired versions that are just as good or better, and they're likely to have better latency as well.
The same goes for expensive keyboards for that matter; it's great if you have money to burn but when it requires concessions to the specs of the computer itself I personally wouldn't do it.

Given that you're already putting in the money for a Z-motherboard I'd also consider paying the 50 rubles extra for a 6500k (or as mentioned cheaping out on a motherboard as well).

And as everyone else said, definitly get an SSD, and preferably at least 250 GB if you want some bang for your buck (the 120s now are relatively overpriced). Buying a new pc now without one is like getting a Ferrari with wooden wheels.
