Registry changes not saved!

Hi,

 

I have a little problem:

I'm trying to change 3 values in my registry:

  1. HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/ImmersiveShell/Grid/Layout_AvailableHeightCells -> 10
  2. .../Layout_MaximumAvailableHeightCells -> 10
  3. .../Layout_MaximumRowCount -> 5

After entering these changes I do a reboot and they are gone.

I did this multiple times and googled the issue, but the only hint I got has to do security software blocking these changes.

As an antivirus tool I use the latest avast! version for windows 8.1.

 

If you have any ideas please help!

 

P.S: The goal of these changes is to reduce the startscreen row count from 6 to 5!

Disable all security software. Including the default stuff that comes with Windows, and then try.

i only have avast! active.

What else is there for security except defender?
