Is the harddrive SATA or IDE?

If IDE: there is a jumper pin you need to set as master if you want to run windows off of it or slave if you want to view it like a secondary drive.

if SATA: go into your bios and set the boot priority to your HDD and restart

Once you enter windows, search for "disk management" (or the equivalent in your language) In disk management, you need to assign a drive letters for the partitions on the drive. Once you've assigned letters, they'll be visible in file explorer like your other drives.

Take note of the partition sizes. There should be one or two partitions that are very small, a few hundred Megabytes. Don't assign letters for those partitions. Just the ones with data on them.

Do you have the pins for "master" in place? Have you checked Disk Management in your computer? Can you boot into Linux?

OK. It's probably trying to boot off of the secondary drive. In BIOS, make sure your own drive is the primary boot device. If you have AHCI enabled, you can also plug the secondary drive in after you've entered Windows. Without AHCI, it has to be plugged in during POST.
