Fan splitter

I need a fan splitter for only 2 fans. All the ones that I could find have no sata/molex power adapter. It seems that for both fans to be running at the same speed, it would need extra power. Am I wrong?

Most motherboard headers can power up to 3-4 standard case fans without extra power from another connector.

Something like this would suffice if your just having two fans on one motherboard header:
