Hi All,

I've tried other UK forums for advice on my build but most of them were not really helpful, so I am counting on you guys:

I am struggling with my GPU, all I do is gaming so I want the best performance for the value really, any suggestions ? own experience, and also I'll be overclocking both GPU and CPU as high as possible
I'll be running 2 monitors (one is new Samsung S24D340 1080p 24'' and the other one is an old DELL 2007 FPb)
my budget was around 800 £. Here the list of the components:

CPU: AMD FX 6300 Black Edition
M/B: MSI 970 GAMING
RAM: 16GB (2x8GB Corsair DDR3 Vengeance Low Profile
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U14S
PSU: 750W Corsair Builder Series
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1060 GAMING X 6GB or 4GB EVGA GeForce GTX 970 FTW+ GAMING ACX 2.0+
SSD (just for the system): 240GB SanDisk Z410 Business Class SSD
Case: Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-02
WIFI: Gigabyte GC-WB867D-I (rev 4.2) PCIe WiFi Card (since I am not allowed to run any cables through the walls)

Regards
Mike

That's correct, I thought it was quite obvious from my 1st post but I guess I got you confused

I haven't bought any components yet - the list is my plan for the build, components that I think would be best for me accordingly to my budget

Apologies for confusing

went a few bucks over. but you can get a cheaper motherboard if you cannot afford it. picked a Z170 board even though you have a locked skew so that you could explore that option in the future if you want, or using an outdated BIOS and experimenting with skylake BCLK OC (apparently that is a thing). kept your case the same if that is the one you wanted, but you can get whatever really.

;) that's alright, thanks for the help, I've never used Intel before, I always thought they are overpriced CPUs compared to AMD (I'm not a fanboy tho) ;)

AMD's current cpus are very old, doesn't perform well anymore. if you want an AMD cpu, wait for Zen which is rumoured to be released at CES.
