HDMI Cable not using correct resolution.

BigChimp97

I've recently tried to use a HDMI cable into my TV instead of using a VGA and i noticed that the HDMI cable wont display the TV's max resolution correctly (1920x1080) i have to reduce the resolution for the whole screen to be seen, if i dont it cuts off the sides. Can anybody explain to me why this could be?

If you have an AMD video card go into Catalyst and search for Scaling Options, set it to 0.

Lets see, maybe you have the zoom option on your tv, try them out, maybe it is that.

Do you have other hdmi display to try if it is the computer?
