AMD x4 845 blackscreen

Hey Guys,

1 month ago my motherboard and my cpu stoped working, so i bought a new one the amd X4 845 and the asus A88x gamer motherboard.

After building everything i tried to boot my pc, well it didnt work... my fans are spinning but my monitor gets no signal.

i thought my motherboard or cpu is defekt so send it back and they sent me a new ones. same problem...

i then bought and amd a4 7300 for 10€, and everything works just fine, i checked theyre compatibility and it is, but i get no signal, not on my mouse or keyboard or monitor..

Im not a pc pro, i know how to build it but i dont know what to do here, the cpu i have right now is just crap, so i hope you can help me.

CPU/s: amd a4 7300 / amd x4 845

motherboard: Asus a88x gamer

MSI R9 270X

Are you plugging the monitor to the motherboard's video output or to the R9 270X?

I know it's too simple to be true, but what you describe could just be that: the A4 has an integrated GPU, so it will output video through the motherboard's port (hence, you don't use the 270x). But the Athlon X4 845 does not, so your only active video output is the 270x GPU, so you need to plug the monitor to the GPU for it to show anything.
