I have a Steelseries Rival 100 gaming mouse and until lately i haven't really used its RGB lighting options - I just had it on single-color breathe, which is the way it was when I got it. A couple of days ago I downloaded the Steelseries Engine 3 (https://steelseries.com/engine) and changed the illumination settings a bit - now it's on ColorShift with four different colors. The problem is that ever since I did that I have had problems with input. Every once in a while my PC doesn't register either me pressing a button or me letting go of a button. I thought that maybe that could be caused by the computer now having to send more signals to the mouse than before and thus the signals the mouse sends to the computer get lost in the "traffic"? Would it help if I just uninstalled the Steelseries Engine 3, or simplified the lighting effects?

TL;DR

I made my mouse's RGB lighting effects more complicated, now input isn't always registered.

Can anyone help me with this?
