Hey guys,

I've recently moved all the "service" programs on my machines to a VM on my always-on HTPC. This includes things like AirvideoHD, OpenVPN host, Resilio Sync, network backup etc. The data targets are all physical RAID arrays on the host machine. The services can't run on the host machine because the account is not an administrator and that causes problems.

It's all working fine, but I can only really dedicate one core of the host to the VM, so as to maintain gaming performance on the HTPC.

This causes more delay than is necessary when I want Airvideo to convert files to download to my iOS devices (it's fine for on-the-fly though). In order to speed the process up, is there any way I can shift the transcoding load to either a) the host machine (which usually has unused cores) or b) another network machine?
